Thornwood Fae Trilogy

A set of three repeatable end paper patterns I designed for a dark fantasy trilogy by the brilliant Nicolette Andrews, launching via Kickstarter in 2025. The books are rich with gothic atmosphere, magic rooted in folklore, and a beautifully eerie blend of the botanical and the macabre—so we wanted the patterns to reflect that strange, haunted elegance.

The designs feature scattered bones and blooming flora circling a central macabre element—balancing the natural with the sinister, and setting the tone for the gothic world of Thornwood Abbey. Ghosts, fae, murder, and madness weave through the pages, and I loved getting to create artwork that hints at the story’s dark heart without giving too much away.
